Thestorybeginsin1996whenColonelSodhi,now70,visitshissisterandherfamily.However,evenafteroverhalfacentury,thenightmaresofhisintensebattleanditsaftermathoftenreturntohaunthim.OldSodhiandyoungAmarbegintobondandSodhiaccompaniesAmartoBurma(Myanmar)foranassignmentfromBBCtoshootadocumentaryonthestudentsagainsttheMilitaryJuntaforfreedomanddemocracy.InSingapore,SodhivisitstheplaceswhichbringbackthememoriesofhimasaLieutenantintheBritishIndianArmyLt.SodhimeetsabeautifulphotographerMayawhoinspireshimtochange.SodhifallsinlovewithMayawhojoinstheIndianNationalArmy.OldSodhilandsinBurmawithAmar,andiswelcomedbyanIndiangirlRani.TheyaccidentallygetcaughtinthestudentprotestandfiringbytheMilitaryJuntatosuppressthestudentagitation.WhenthesoldiersoftheMilitaryJuntagetroughandviolentwithAmarandRani,oldSodhiissuddenlytransformedintotheyoungLt.SodhiandkillsthetwoBurmesesoldierstodefendhisgroup.OldSodhiandhisgroupsescapefromtheBurmesesoldiersrunsparalleltotheattackbytheBritishbombersonLt.Sodhisunit.In1944,theIndianNationalArmy,tired,hungry,cold,feverish,sickhadreachedImphaltodefenditagainstalltheoddspiledheavilyagainstthem.InaschoolsetupbyRanisgrandmother,OldSodhifindsthephotographofMayaandrealizesthatMayahasbeendead.OldSodhi,finallyredeemshimselfbyhelpinghisyounggroupsafelycrossoverfromBurmaintoIndia,andkeephispromisetoMayathathewouldonedayreturntoBurmatofindherandbewithherwhenhisbodyisblownbytheBurmesesoldierstoashesandglory.如果您喜欢好剧屋影院（www.51aoshu.org）分享的《被遗忘的军队-阿扎迪·克丽耶》，别忘了推荐给你的好友！
